Whilst swapping or renting are the two most popular options that are available, there are number of other methods of ensuring that you have a roof over your head whilst you are on your swap. The main ones that you may want to think about are:
- Staying with a friend or family
- Coach surfing – though usually aimed at short term stays
- Staying in a hostel
- Camping/caravan
